Pagak – SPLMIO’s deputy chairman, General Ladu Gore is expected to be in Juba on Sunday afternoon to prepare for the arrival of his chairman, Dr Riek Machar earlier next week.
In any movement communique extended to the Upper Nile Times, the powerful deputy Chairman will jet in Juba along with some senior SPLMIO officers and 3 other army generals to “pave the way for the arrival of the chairman”.
Gore is still currently in Addis to structure plans with his chairman and the First Vice President Designate, Dr Riek Machar.
He will be going to Nairobi on Friday this week and meet SPLMIO advance team members who are currently in the Kenyan capital on private visits. The deputy chairman and the team members will then fly to Juba on Sunday as instructed by their chairman.
Gen Gore and senior SPLMIO leaders including the chief negotiator and the leader of the advance team in Juba, Gen Taban Deng are planning a massive rally at Juba stadium to ready the civil population in Juba to turn up in thousands to welcome the former Vice President of South Sudan. Preparations for the stadium rally are already in “advance stages” according to the leaders of the advance team in Juba. Government officials and police were already informed about the rally and are readying and beeping up the security for the stadium.
