JUBA – In a major sign of a possible all out war, a senior SPLMIO military General has sent out a stern warning that his forces will have no option but to storm” the national capital, Juba at anytime if the international community doesn’t act quick enough and deploy an intervention force to separate the two warring factions in the country.

General Koang Chuol Ranley, popularly known as CDR issued an ultimatum on his Facebook page on Wednesday calling for intervention of the regional forces announced weeks ago by the IGAD or else, his SPLMIO forces will move into Juba.

“…..The appointment of Cde Taban Deng is “illegitimate and illegal” we therefore condemn it to the strongest term possible. The entire SPLA-IO armies are committed to the leadership of Dr. Riek Machar Teny Dhurgon as such we urge all the members that he had no single army as he claimed. We want the third forces to be deployed as a baffer zone or else we shall overrun the government forces from Juba. We are committed to the peace agreement signed by our Chairman Dr. Machar Teny Dhurgon…” Ranley warned in a long defiant Facebook post.

CDR Koang is one of the battle hardened Generals currently with Dr Machar in Western Equatoria.

Earlier this week, Kiir relieved Machar and appointed his loyalist, a former SPLMIO senior official who was dismissed by Machar as a First Vice President. A move analyst believe it has all but collapsed the peace agreement.
