KHARTOUM – The first Vice President Dr. Machar who has walked for 40 days and 40 nights has regained self-strength from long delayed exhaustion.
Dr. Machar, who is the pillar of peace, was last seen on media on the eve of July 9, 2016 trying to quell the violence once thought to have been instigated by President Kiir at J1 Presidential Palace to abrogate peaceful process signed by the two Principals in August 2015 last year.
James Gatdet Dak, the Spokesperson for Dr. Machar has shared on his twitter account that “H.E. Dr. Riek Machar is in Khartoum. He has regained strength after exhaustion and swollen leg” read the statement.
On a different account, Dr. Machar has survived two great assassination attempts that resulted into killing of many people starting with the December 15, 2013 and the recent one last July 2016.
On the first attempt, more than 50,000 civilians were killed, hundreds of thousands trapped in UN Protection of Civilian Sites in their own Country, and more than 1.9 million people displaced to neighboring countries.
After all the political upheavals, Dr. Machar has accepted peace initiative to face his opponent, who is known to have disturbing thoughts about personal and political ambition in Juba.
“It is more than a sacrifice” said Stephen, who prepares not to have his full name disclosed. “Many people don’t accept to face their enemies in their den, however, Dr. Machar did just that to ensure the International Community that he is for a peaceful mean, he said. He was taken to Juba as a sacrificial lamb meant to be slaughtered by his enemy on the Eve of Independence Day because of International Community’s interest” he continued.
“It is incredibly unbelievable that people don’t know who is a peaceful person, and or who loves South Sudanese as people. They would realize one day that this Dr. Machar is the only one that aspire for peaceful coexistence of South Sudanese as a whole” he proudly shared.
Back to James Gatdet Dak’s tweet, Mr. Dak, thanked the Sudanese government saying “We thank Sudanese government for care” they have provided to our able leader.
J1 violence has claimed 300 lives from Salva Kiir’s body guards, and 37 body guards from the side of Dr. Machar before he could move out of Juba skirt where he remained fighting President Kiir’s government soldiers in the deep bush of Equatorian region. In the meantime possible Dr. Machar would been seen making a full statement about the prospect of peace and way forward as peace is stalled up to date. Stay tune!
