The Government Forces under Salva Kiir Attack Longechuk Headquarter, Mathiang

MATHIANG – The move by the forces under Salva Kiir Mayardit and Taban Deng Gai amounted to the violation of Salva Kiir’s ceasefire order issued three month ago calling its forces to refrain from attacking SPLM-IO position.

Reliable sources from the ground, particularly, Mathiang have reported that the government forces have attacked Jangok Payam, Belwang, Realbek, Wunkiir, Paiweng, Wengeyan and several other places including Mathiang the headquarter in a tactical move to destabilize the area as we speak.  The government has killed number of civilians including children, and the figure is yet to be reported as the war is still ongoing.

The official strongly criticized the self-imposed First Vice President Taban Deang and his ally President Salva Kiir for dishonoring the ceasefire order that they have issued and for misleading the world that they will not launch any attack against our position.  Our forces are actually matching toward those area affected in Longechuk and will for sure dislodge the evil forces killing civilians than confronting the official opposition forces of the SPLM-IO in our main held positions outside civilians vicinities.

Sources to be followed allegedly accused Taban for ordering the attack and for pushing for his forces to advance to Pagak using Longechuk.  Such report will be monitored as this has created high tension in the whole area.  The Official is calling for the international community to intervene before more lives lost and for the unbearable destruction of civilian’s properties to take place in a relatively quiet location such as Longechuk and the surrounding areas.

Stay tune!!!!
