Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth to declare his intentions to join rebels group on Monday

Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth
ADDIS ABABA – One of the former 11 detainees, ex-ambassador to the United States Hon. Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth has invited the media on friday to cover his news conference he booked up for Monday to declare his intentions to joint the rebellion headed by the rebel leader, Dr Riek Machar Teny.
Gatkuoth was one of the four lastly released former detainees who previously decided to stay neutral during the negotiations between the two warring factions of the government and the rebel parties. Although he vocally iterated to join either party of the conflict during his interviews with Kenyan media in Nairobi, Gatkuoth decided to remain with the group of 11 to make a third block in finding a way to lasting peace in South Sudan.
In another development, the leader of the rebels movement Dr. Riek Machar today met with Oyai Deng Ajak, former chief of staff and one of the leading members of the group of 11 to convince him to join his rebellion. Machar and Ajak met privately in the rebel’s residence hotel in a strategy to make the monday’s news briefing by Gatkuoth a lot more meaningful and damaging to the government. The rebel leader is also anticipated to meet with the Dr Majak Agot on Sunday to discuss the possibility of switching to the rebels and abandon the group headed by former SPLM secretary, Pagan Amum.
